Crystals and Gold

I am almost sure now that I must have lived in the early 1800's in my past life......because I just love all things sparkley and dangley!!  My lamps, jewelry, home decor....you name it.  With that said, I want to share with you a find of mine.  This beautiful creation below came out of an estate sale and there are two of them too!

The photo does not do the antique lamp justice.....you'll see why below.....

Look at all those baubles.....

Very stately and elegant.....

Love the dangley.......

And the detail on the structure.....

So charming......

The detailed design on the base is just beautiful.......

Here it is on my buffet with the iron florals from last week.  The lamp's mate is in my living room on a fireplace mantel......and looks really fantastic there too!  They were purchased from someone's estate and I know that they must have loved them as much as I do...... I have given them a good home.....

Iron in the Floral

Mixing of the elements........one of my favorite things to do......especially in decorating or in florals......

I purchased this beautiful creation at an antique shop about ten years ago.

And it has a mate!  There was just something about these little cuties that captured my heart!

Look at those iron legs......what a statement they make.......

Love the blooms......

And the ribbons mixed in there too.......

So elegant on my buffet.............

Can't you tell I'm an iron fan?????

These beauties frequently end up on my dining room table during our family dinners on holidays.  They are perfect because you can actually see over them and they don't take up much room either.

What do you think of them?

Eclectic Wall Decor

Mix and match is my favorite way to decorate a wall, a room, or anything at all.  It just makes it so much more interesting to look at and it's beautiful to look at too.  I purchased this silver coffee pot out on one of my weekend jaunts......just love it!

Really like the patina on eclectic pieces like these.......

And the detail on the accents.......it's to die for!

The mixing of the silver, wood and iron elements is the best.....

It makes for a very interesting architectural decor.....

The best part of it is that I have this hanging in my laundry room.  I had a customer who decorated her laundry room complete with a chandelier and all.  Loved the idea so much that I decided that I would decorate mine with things I love, being I spend so all that time in there doing the laundry!  Might as well enjoy it while I'm in there! <grin>

French Limoge Platter

Found this gorgeous french Limoge platter at a local flea mall......and it was 50% off!  What a deal!!!  And if you are like me, I'm always short one or two serving platters every holiday.

Still trying to find a place to display it in between the holidays.  It's just too beautiful to hide in a cabinet!  Any suggestions on where I should show it off in my house?
